This is a 1:24 scale model of the Pershing I, a U.S. Army surface-to-surface missile deployed on mobile launchers in various NATO nations from 1962 until the late 1970s when it was replaced by the Pershing II. A two-stage liquid-fuel missile, it carried a nuclear warhead. Early versions had a range of approximately 100 miles, while subsequent versions had a range of up to 460 miles. The U.S. Army donated it to NASM in 1960.
