Painted/coated metal tube (aluminum?) with plasticc cap

This is a tube of Green Cabbage soup that Soviet cosmonauts could eat. The plastic-lined metal tube contains a single portion of the soup that the cosmonauts can empty into his or her mouth. This specimen was not flown in space. An American donor gave this item to the museum in the 1970s.
