This is a 1:48 scale model of the Gemini-Titan II rocket, used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to launch all ten manned spacecraft in the Gemini program during 1965-1966. The Titan II was a two-stage intercontinental ballistic missile developed by the U.S. Air Force. Only minor modifications were needed to enable it to be used as the launch vehicle in the Gemini program. NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center built this model and transferred it to NASM in 1977.
