Developed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Saturn IBs launched three unmanned Apollo command modules and one unmanned Apollo lunar module in 1966-1968. In October 1968, it boosted the first manned Apollo mission (Apollo 7) into Earth orbit for ten days. In November 1973, a Saturn IB launched the final Skylab crew in orbit and in July 1975 the United States crew for the joint docking with two Soviet cosmonauts in the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project program. NASA's Johnson Space Center made this plastic model with a wood stand and transferred it to NASM in 1977.
