This is a 1:72 scale model of the Scout rocket. Developed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Scout was a solid-fuel, four-stage rocket that was first used in 1960. Over the next thirty-four years, the rocket underwent several improvements and was used to launch a variety of scientific satellites and probes by NASA, the Department of Defense, and the European Space Research Organization. The model's manufacturer and donor are unknown at this time.
