A four-stage rocket, the Juno II consisted of an extended liquid-fuel Army Jupiter intermediate-range ballistic missile as the first stage and three upper stages powered by scaled-down solid-fuel Army Sergeant missile engines. NASA utilized the Juno II in ten launches from 1958-1961, of which only three were successful. The model's manufacturer and donor are not known at this time.
