This is a 1:72 scale model of the Thor Agena B rocket. These rockets utilized a modified U.S. Air Force Thor intermediate-range ballistic missile as the first stage and the second version of the Agena upper stage. The Agena was originally developed by Lockheed for the Corona photoreconnaissance satellite program. Thor Agena Bs were used to launch Corona satellites from 1960-1962, but were also employed to launch a limited number of NASA payloads from 1962-1966.
