Trenching Tool, Apollo
The trenching tool was used to dig trenches in the lunar surface. It was flown only on Apollo 14; its task was assumed by large adjustable-angle scoops on later missions.
This object was used for training and was transferred from NASA to the Smithsonian in 1975.
