Airfoil Section, Langley
Edward Huffaker, Samuel P. Langley's assistant at the Smithsonian, tested this wing model with a curved airfoil shape around 1897.
Transferred from the Smithsonian Institution to the United States National Museum.
Airfoil section used on Langley whirling arm. Perfect arc with maximum depth of curvature 2 5/8 inches (6.7 cm).
