Test Propeller, Langley
Transferred from the Smithsonian Institution to the United States National Museum.
Small three-blade propeller used for aerodynamic testing only. Not used for flight trials on aircraft or models. Constructed from narrow wooden strips glued together similar to boat planking. This example unfinished, not yet sanded to a smooth airfoil cross section. No shaft hole.
