This is an unflown Coaster Super Jet model rocket motor from 1964. It is made of pasteboard and contains non-explosive propellant. The motor produces 30 lbs of static thrust, making it one of the more powerful motors sold commercially. A motor is used only once to power a model rocket. G. Harry Stine, a pioneer in the field of flying rocket models, donated this artifact to NASM in 1973.
