This is an unflown Centuri Mini-Max model rocket motor from 1962. It is made of pasteboard and contains non-explosive propellant. The motor produces 3.5 lbs of thrust, placing it in the lower range of the power of motors sold commercially. A motor is used only once to power a model rocket. G. Harry Stine, a pioneer in the field of flying rocket models, donated this artifact to NASM in 1973.
