This is a practice round of the famous Bazooka rocket-propelled anti-tank rocket of World War II. The U.S. Army used the weapon extensively on the European and North African fronts in attacks on German and Italian armored vehicles.

Olga Ley donated it to the National Air and Space Museum. It was formerly owned by her husband, Willy Ley, the well known popularizer of space flight and rocketry.
