This is a model of unknown scale of the Oriole, a U.S. Navy air-to-air missile made by Martin. It had a solid-fuel motor, a maximum speed of Mach 2.5, a range of 20 miles, and a conventional warhead. Limited numbers were deployed in the 1950s. John and Cynthia Heyde donated this model to NASM on an unknown date.
