Model, Missile, Regulus II
This is a model of unknown scale of the Regulus II, a U.S. Navy surface-to-surface missile which was to be carried on and launched from the decks of submarines. It had a nuclear warhead, a solid-fuel engine, one booster for assist in take-off, a range of over 1,000 miles, and an inertial guidance system. Although successfully test fired on several occasions during the late 1950s, the missile was never deployed.
