This flight suit is an example of the type of clothing worn on board the Salyut space station during the Soviet Union's early long-duration missions. Although this is not a flown suit, it is an example of non-life support or conditioning Russian and/or Soviet flight clothing. A participant in the American Association of Museums-Smithsonian National Air and Space Museums Mutual Concerns Conference donated this suit to NASM's Director Donald Engen in 1998 saying that she had used the suit during preliminary training for spaceflight.

Gift of the Association of Cosmonautics Museums of Russia.
