"Ralph Iligan Was Born In New York City, 10 February 1893. Attended School In New York, Studied Under Several Well-Known Artists, Attended Pratt Institute, Art Student S League. Is Well-Known In New York As A Portrait Painter And Seascape Painter. Made A Livelihood For Twenty Five Years As A Commercial Artist, But For Over Fifteen Years He Has Devoted His Time To The Fine Arts. His Work Will Be Found In Many Galleries And Museums Throughout The Country And He Has Had Several One-Man Shows. For 11 Years He Taught At The Industrial School Of Art In New York City And Did Private Tutoring Also. Member Of The Society Of Illustrators, Of Artists And Writers, And Belongs To The Salmagundi Club. Lives At East Elmhurst, Long Island."
