March 5: The Museum in Washington, DC will open today. Due to weather, the Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA is closed.
This event has ended.
In X-15, the exciting story of the X-15—the iconic rocket plane of the Cold War space race—is recounted by John Anderson, Curator of Aerodynamics at the National Air and Space Museum, and Museum volunteer Richard Passman, who was Chief Aerodynamicist for the Bell X-2.
Several times a month, authors of aviation- and space-related books are at the National Air and Space Museum's two locations to sign books and meet the public. Books are available to purchase at the Museum Store.
Autographed books make great mementos of your visit and terrific gifts for friends.
