From November 6 to November 20, the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center will host the world-exclusive exhibition of the "Ranger" spacecraft from the upcoming Christopher Nolan film, Interstellar. This will be the first and only time this model will be on view to the public. The exhibition will also include an immersive Oculus Rift DK2 experience in which visitors can interactively explore the film's "Endurance" spacecraft through virtual reality technology. Come to the exhibit and feel what it's like to be a member of the ship's crew by experiencing weightlessness and seeing views of our galaxy and beyond. Parking at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center is $15 until 4 pm.

The Oculus Rift experience is for visitors 13 and older. Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or have parental permission to participate. Parental permission forms will be available on-site or can be downloaded here.

You can see the movie, Interstellar, at the National Air and Space Museum's Lockheed Martin IMAX Theater located on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. and the Airbus IMAX Theater at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Va. For information about show times and to buy tickets, visit the theaters' websites, Lockheed Martin IMAX Theater and Airbus IMAX Theater.

To coincide with the Interstellar movie release at National Air and Space Museum theaters, visitors can experience Oculus Rift DK2. Wearing the Oculus Rift VR headset, participants will virtually tour "Endurance," the Interstellar spaceship.
