7:30 - View Over Africa! Low and Slow with the Kenya Wildlife Service
8:00 - Lecture
Learn why airplanes are crucial tools for patrolling Kenyan national parks in search of wildlife and poachers through the unique perspectives of two pilots. Aerobatic champion Patty Wagstaff has instructed pilots of the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) in the art of bush flying while biologist Bill Clark is the U.S. liaison for the KWS and a 30-year veteran of wildlife law enforcement. Together they offer a detailed view of the precarious state of wildlife conservation and how rampant poaching for illegal ivory and horn trades is being attacked by air.
The GE Aviation Lecture Series is made possible by the generous support of GE Aviation.
