Celebrate the opening of the National Air and Space Museum’s newest exhibition, Time and Navigation. Activities in the exhibit gallery and around the Museum will engage visitors in hands-on experiences that will explore 300 years of navigation history from the early days at sea to today’s GPS.

Earn a navigation certificate by participating in fun hands-on activities including:
• Making an escape and evasion map
• Building a paper gyroscope
• Designing  a satellite
• Discovering  how black boxes really work
• Using a star map
• Plotting your course through the Museum

Observe local chalk artist, Patrick Owens, as he recreates the Compass Rose from the exhibition in front of the Museum.
