Following the program "Suited for Space: A Discussion," visitors will be invited to view the Suited for Space exhibit, where Bill Ayrey, senior test engineer at ILC Dover, will present hands-on demonstrations of various spacesuit materials. Lisa Young, conservator at the National Air and Space Museum, will discuss the preservation of spacesuits.

Alan B. Shepard, one of the original “Mercury 7,” wore this suit on the first flight of an American astronaut in 1961.
