|Former test pilot Robert K. Smyth will keep the audience on the edge of their seats with compelling stories from his career testing numerous cutting-edge aircraft.
In 1970, Smyth and fellow test pilot Bill Miller performed the first flight of the F-14A Tomcat, and later became the first crew to eject from an F-14!
Smyth began his career as a test pilot in the U.S. Navy and later accepted a position with Grumman Aerospace, where he flight-tested the F9F Cougar and F11F Tiger series. He served as a consulting pilot and astronaut liaison on the Apollo Lunar Module program, and later, while working for Gulfstream, he participated in the Gulfstream III and IV record-setting flights.
