Immerse yourself in the mind-blowing cosmic experience of German visual artist and composer Ulf Langheinrich’s digital projection, Hemisphere, and then hear from the artist behind the stimulating installation. A once in a lifetime opportunity to see a monumental work of art in the Albert Einstein Planetarium, Hemisphere turns the entire 77-foot domed projection theater into an immersive space filled with light and sound. Langheinrich bases his work on the technique of “granular synthesis,” which fuses video and sound so that images, music, and time become one extraordinary work beyond a single dimension. Hemisphere promises to be a meditative, mesmerizing journey in perception, an aesthetic statement on a vast and overwhelming scale.
Before the program begins, mingle with friends at a pre-event reception that starts at 6 pm, featuring light refreshments and a cash bar.
