Smithsonian's Stars Lecture Series

Curious about our nearest star, Moon rocks, volcanoes, and other wonders of the universe? Come to the Smithsonian's Stars, a series of ten lectures by Smithsonian researchers who are exploring the Sun, the Moon, planets, stars, galaxies, and the universe. These speakers will share behind-the-scenes details about how their research is done and technologies that advance new discoveries at the Smithsonian Institution.

Smithsonian's Stars lectures are suitable for ages 13 and up.

The Smithsonian's Stars Lecture Series is made possible by a grant from NASA.

Activities and Lecture Times:
4:00 – 5:00 pm Discovery Station
5:15 – 6:45 pm Lecture and Q&A
6:30 – 8:30 pm Observatory Open

Smithsonian's Stars Ticket Policy:
Lectures are free, but tickets are required. You may also pick up tickets at the IMAX® Theater Box Offices during regular Museum hours (10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.). If you have questions, please call (202) 633-2398 or e-mail nasmpubliclectures@si.edu.
