Event Planners: Host Your Own Night at the Museum
The sequel to the popular Night at the Museum movie will feature the Smithsonian and many scenes were filmed at the National Air and Space Museum’s location on the National Mall. The film will bring to life the Smithsonian Institution and the many artifacts in its collection, including the Lockheed Vega aircraft that Amelia Earhart flew on her nonstop solo flight across the Atlantic, the 1903 Wright Flyer and the Lunar Lander.

As a venue for corporate and association events, the National Air and Space Museum offers a private, exclusive experience among the icons of flight at the National Mall building or the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Northern Virginia. When hosting a reception or dinner, the entire facility is open and donors may choose between many interesting event sites. Give your guests a special evening in the world’s most visited museum. For information about special events at the National Air and Space Museum, see the Special Events main page.
From Memorial Day to Labor Day, donors can enjoy their private night at the National Air and Space Museum for a discounted donation rate. The evening features:
• Exclusive use of the America by Air gallery
• Pre-screening reception can begin as early as 6:30 pm. Film screening begins at 8:00 pm.
