Independence Avenue Welcome Center
The Mall building's Welcome Center is located near the Independence
Avenue entrance. There are two large wall murals: Robert McCall's
"The Space Mural - A Cosmic View" and Eric Sloane's "Earth Flight
Environment. Suspended above the Welcome Center is Voyager, the aircraft
that flew around the world without stopping or refueling in December
1986.

take place in this 220-seat facility. The Zeiss Model VI planetarium
