Launch of Apollo 7

Apollo 7 Saturn IB launches from the Kennedy Space Center's Launch Complex 34 on October 11, 1968. Apollo 7 was the first crewed flight of the Apollo program and the first crewed test of the Command and Service Module. Astronauts Walter Schirra, Donn Eisele, and Walter Cunningham orbited the Earth 163 times and returned after almost 11 days in space.
