Wyld Regeneratively Cooled Rocket Motor No. 2

This second version of James Wyld’s rocket motor spurred the creation of Reaction Motors, Inc., shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941. It was the starting point for the company’s work during World War II on assisted-takeoff rockets for heavily loaded airplanes.
