Advice for Teachers This assignment has two important features: Students will become interested in studying an African American aviator’s life and accomplishments. Students will learn how to integrate images from an online collection into a biography presentation. You may want to tailor this activity to your students’ abilities and interests. If so, here are some easy ways to adjust the complexity of this assignment: Provide students with the biographical summaries about each aviator. Ask students to do additional independent research on the aviator they study. Tell students in advance which images from the Black Wings collection "go" with each aviator. Require students to use more than three images from the Black Wings collection.
