This spring-motor, trigger-activated gun camera, used by the U.S. Navy, recorded "target hits," made photographically on sensitized paper. The camera was mounted on a Lewis machine gun in place of the ammunition drum for gun practice, or on the top wing to simulate a wing gun and to record training activity. A Veeder exposure counter and lens hood were standard.
