The last four Gemini missions carried this Maurer 70mm camera onboard for a variety of scientific photography objectives. It has a sighting ring attached to the top that helped increase aiming accuracy, while the type of glass in the lens decreased interference from light rays. The equipment available for these experiments was extensive and included lenses of different focal lengths, special filters, and extra film magazines, which increased the types and amount of photographic work astronauts could do in space.

NASA transferred this camera to the Museum in 1976.
