Flights Of Fancy
The Museum installs the world's first closed-caption system for a motion picture theater in its Langley Theater, making its large-screen films more accessible to visitors (April 13).
 
After months of controversy, the Enola Gay exhibition opens, featuring the restored forward fuselage of the B-29 that carried out the first atomic mission (June 28).
 
"Flights of Fancy: Photographs by Jacques-Henri Lartigue, 1904-1922," an exhibition of photography recording early achievements in aviation, opens in the Flight and the Arts gallery (September 30).
