United States Air Force Engineering Drawings on Microfilm
In the post-World War II years, the United States government
committed large numbers of engineering drawings of aircraft and other
aviation-related equipment to 35mm microfilm, resulting in over 16,000
rolls of microfilm covering over 600 different types of equipment. This
microfilm is available to restorers, researchers, model builders, and
the general public.
NOTICE: A signed Document Use and Indemnification
Agreement is required before reproductions of materials from this

availability of specific materials in this collection.
Duplicates of specific reels of microfilm may be ordered
based on the information provided in a NASM Archives Custom Search

TO REQUEST A CUSTOM SEARCH PRINTOUT
For information about the availability of specific drawings on
microfilm (or of drawings for specific aircraft types), please send a
written request to the NASM Archives Reference
Desk. Replies may require 2 to 3 weeks, and are sent via postal mail.
You will be sent a Custom Search Printout from our in-house database
listing the microfilm reels available for your topic. Customized searches
will be done by our staff for no more than three aircraft or spacecraft
types per request. We will accept only one customized search request per
household or organization per month.
