Technical and Scale Drawings:

U.S. Navy Recognition Model Plans

During the Second World War, small handmade aircraft models were used to train military personnel and civilian observers in aircraft recognition. These model pattern drawings are the result of a joint project between the U.S. Navy Bureau of Aeronautics and the Office of Education to create large numbers of recognition models for military training.
