Space History Department Curator, National Security Space
Bio

James David is a curator in the Space History Division and is responsible for national security space programs.  The University Press of Florida published his Spies and Shuttles: NASA’s Secret Relationships with the DoD and CIA in 2015.  His articles on these programs have appeared in Astropolitics, Cryptologia, Geospatial Intelligence Review, Intelligence and National Security, Quest – The History of Spaceflight Quarterly, and Space Policy.  Greenwood Press published his Conducting Post-World War II National Security Research in Executive Branch Records – A Comprehensive Guide in 2001.  His articles on classification and declassification have appeared in The American Archivist and The Journal of Government Information.
