Located south of Washington Dulles International Airport along Route 28, about 1/2 mile north of the intersection of Routes 28 and 50.
From Washington, DC, and points south: Take I-66 West to Route 28 North (Exit 53B): Travel on Route 28 North for 5.3 miles. Exit at Air and Space Museum Parkway and follow the signs to the Udvar-Hazy Center.
From Washington, DC, and points north: Take I-495 West (Capital Beltway) to the Dulles Toll Road West (Route 267). Exit the toll road at Route 28 South (Exit 9A) and travel south 3.5 miles. Exit at Air and Space Museum Parkway and follow the signs to the Udvar-Hazy Center.
From points west: Take I-66, Route 29, or Route 50 East to Route 28 North.
Parking Refunds: Refunds are available if you are just dropping off or picking up passengers. All drivers will be required to pay the $15 parking fee and will receive a time stamped parking ticket. After passenger(s) are dropped off at the Museum entrance, the driver may return to the parking gate house and receive a full refund upon exit. This must occur within 30 minutes of the time stamped on the ticket. Visitors returning to the parking gate house after the 30 minute drop off period will not be eligible for a parking refund.

All busses (the parking lot accommodates 28 busses)
Frequent visitors can save money by purchasing a six-visit parking pass. The $75 pass is good for six entries to the parking lot (a savings of $15). National Air and Space Society members can purchase the pass for $60 (a savings of $30). Purchase can be made at either of the Museum's locations.
Depending on your point of departure, you may need to use a combination of public transportation options to reach the Udvar-Hazy Center. Please consult transportation operators for the latest routes, schedules, and fares.
From the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC: You can take Metrobus Route 5A to Washington Dulles International Airport and then a Virginia Regional Transit Association (VRTA) bus to the Udvar-Hazy Center. Metrobus 5A departs daily from the L'Enfant Plaza Metrorail station. The stop is located on D Street between 6th and 7th Streets, SW, just four blocks from the Museum in Washington DC. Please visit the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority for bus schedules and pricing. Metrobus 5A arrives at Washington Dulles International Airport at curb 2E. At this same location, the VRTA shuttle bus takes you from the airport to the Udvar-Hazy Center. Please visit the VRTA for schedules and pricing. (Look for the "Dulles to Dulles" route in Loudoun County). The entire trip takes 60 to 90 minutes depending on schedules and traffic.
From Northern Virginia: Virginia Regional Transit Association (VRTA) provides connecting bus service between Washington Dulles International Airport, Dulles Town Center, and the Udvar-Hazy Center. Washington Flyer also provides private bus service between select Metrorail stations and Washington Dulles International Airport.
