National Air and Space Museum 2015 Annual Report

Edinburgh Airport
Art of the Airport Tower is a temporary exhibition in the Museum in Washington, DC, running from November 2015 to November 2016, and features photos of towers around the world by Museum Specialist Carolyn Russo. Above is the tower at Edinburgh Airport in Scotland.

Exhibitions on view at the National Air and Space Museum cover topics from the earliest days of flight to modern planetary exploration. Important artifacts from the Museum's extensive permanent collection provide the basis for exhibitions in the Museum in Washington, DC, and the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. In addition, artifacts are on view at other locations throughout the world through the Museum's loan program and traveling exhibits.

This year the Museum installed one new permanent exhibition and three temporary exhibitions, added new components to an existing permanent gallery, and continued moving and restoring artifacts from the Boeing Milestones of Flight Hall for its redesign, set to be completed in 2016.
