Physical Description

Horizontal, cylinder-shaped tank (w/Tubing/valve/flue). Please refer to Vol. 27, No. 3, Pl. 12, (1894) Picture "C" (Separators),"Langley Memoir of Mechanical Flight", p. 57 for visual reference. The object photographed here for TMS is the same object photographed in Langley's memoir. There is a slight variation, however. The picture in Langley's memoir shows a copper tube eminating from the right side. The current photo in TMS doesn't show this.
