Informal portrait of Lt Thomas Clay (Pop) Hanson with a Korean boy a wearing US Army uniform. Hanson was a member of Ward Hitt's squadron, the 336th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron. Hanson was killed when his F-86A crashed after takeoff on June 5, 1951. Taken during Hitt's detached duty as a Forward Aircraft Controller with the 5th Republic of Korea (ROK) Corps, Feb. 3-26, 1951. Written on album page - "'Pop' Hanson". Album page 19.
