Louise Thaden, Vincent Bendix, and Blanche Noyes standing behind the left wing of Thaden and Noyes' Beechcraft C17R Staggerwing (s/n 15835), Los Angeles. On September 4, 1936, Thaden and Noyes won the Bendix National Transcontinental Air Race with a time of 14 hours, 55 minutes, and 1 second.
