Lieutenant Cyrus K. Bettis (left, in civilian suit), winner of the 1925 Pulitzer Trophy, poses with unidentified US Army Air Service officer (possibly event organizer Lt. Horace S. Kenyon) beside Nash automobile. Floral display on hood of car has banner which reads, "[To] Lieut. Cyrus Bettis from Sid Grauman." Probably taken in connection with the Armstice Day Sky Carnival held at Santa Monica, California; circa early November 1925.
