Double-coiled horizontal copper tubing. Two tube ends protrude from the right side. This object shows a design continuation utilizing thicker piping but with a difference; it has the greatest amount of insulation of any similar object in our collection up to this point. This is reflected in the original photograph in Langley's "Memoir of Mechanical Flight" as boiler type "P", featured in the "Boilers of Aerodromes" picture template. The object in question is the original object used in the Langley memoir photograph.
