Double row of copper tubing; independent rows supported by two support brackets which are augmented by a centrally-placed copper tube that runs the length between the two copper coils. This object represents the newer design of utilizing two rows of tubing that is reflected in the original photos in Langley's "Memoir of Mechanical Flight" (Boilers of Aerodromes). The tubing is now separated, instead of beng coiled closely together, as in earlier designs.
