  • Coiled horizontal copper tubing. Tube end protrudes from the right side. Insulation use is reflected in the original photograph in Langley's "Memoir of Mechanical Flight" as boiler type "Q", featured in the "Boilers of Aerodromes" picture template. The object in question is the original object used in the Langley memoir photograph.
