Physical Description

  • Separated two-coiled, copper-tubed assembly with thin steel bands for holding the copper tubes in place. This object shows a newer design step utilizing thicker piping that's more separated. This is reflected in the original photograph in Langley's "Memoir of Mechanical Flight" as boiler type "A", featured in the "Boilers of Aerodromes" picture template.
