Cameramen in foreground record the launch of Bumper 8, the first launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida, July 24, 1950. The Bumper vehicle was comprised of a German V-2 lower stage and WAC-Corporal upper stage. (Note all-black V-2 fin at left.)
