Physical Description Uncolored etching of the celebration held at the Artillery Company's Ground, Finsbury for the one hundredth anniversary of the first balloon ascent in England. The scene shows two inflated balloons on the ground with a third being inflated. A large crowd is gathered to watch. A fourth balloon is aloft in the sky. Two smaller scenes included in the right side of the print depict the 'First Balloon Ascent in England, Sep. 15, 1784,' and 'LHoste's Farewell from the Colonel.' Newsprint is on the reverse, showing the print was cut from a newspaper. Dimensions 2-D - Unframed (H x W): 18.9 × 26cm (7 7/16 × 10 1/4 in.)
