Men and boys help move Silas Christofferson's Christofferson 1911 Monoplane off the polo field at the Vancouver Barracks (later Pearson Airfield), Vancouver, Washington, 1911, following what is believed to be the first and only flight of this Bleriot XI type monoplane. The aircraft's landing gear (seen at center) failed upon landing.
