Heavily retouched photograph of the inside pages of Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) Pilote-Aviateur license number 18,310, issued 15 June 1921 in France to Bessie Coleman. License gives her birth date as January 20, 1896, and her birthplace as Atlanta, Texas. Includes a formal bust portrait photograph (at right) of Coleman, dressed in flying clothing and wearing a leather flying helmet with goggles pushed up on her head, with her signature beneath the photograph.
